Brian is a 23-year veteran of the publishing industry. He founded Evergreen Press, Gazelle Press, and Axiom Press with his wife, Kathy. In January of 2017, they turned over the reins of the publishing company to Jeff, their son. In 2014, they launched The Book Experts (TBE). He has served as an Associate Pastor, Sunday School Superintendent, advertising sales rep, and graphic designer. He has also authored three books, THE LITTLE BOOK OF BUSINESS WISDOM, SALT & LIGHT, and LEADERSHIP ROCKS! Brian has helped other publishers through his three-day Publisher Boot Camp. He’s married to Kathy, his wife of 51 years, and they have 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Kathy has had a love for writing since childhood. She attended Marquette University College of Journalism, and over the years has had many opportunities to write and edit professionally. After moving to Mobile in 1985, she worked for a Christian magazine and edited a monthly newsletter. Later, she wrote a monthly newsletter for Integrity Music. In 1987, she and Brian founded an ad agency for churches and ministries. Later their company transitioned into publishing Christian books and she became Editor-in-Chief of Evergreen Press. Kathy has a heart for hurting people and desires to encourage them to experience all that God has for them.

Christy has been an editor for over twenty years, ghostwriting, authoring, and content- and copy-editing books for publishers such as HarperCollins, Harlequin Romance, Dog Ear Publishing, Kensington Publishers, Rowman & Littlefield, Random House, and many, many others. Prior to her freelance career, she worked behind the desk as a prepress coordinator, a managing editor, an acquisitions editor, a senior editor, and an editorial director. Christy has a bachelor’s degree in religion and theology and a master’s degree in psychology, graduating at the top of her class for each degree. Books are her passion in life, and she loves to work with authors to help them polish their words and make their finished product the work of art it was meant to be. Christina Miller of Mentor’s Pen Editorial Services is a graduate of Bethany College of Missions, a pastor’s wife, church secretary, and worship leader. Pam Nordberg earned a BA in English from the University of Colorado after taking a couple years of pre-business classes at the University of Minnesota. She has been editing and proofreading since 2010. When she’s not editing, you’ll likely find her reading, gardening, cooking, working out, or watching one of her four daughters play soccer or run track.
Greg Ruhl’s talent and joy for drawing was an ever-present calling growing up in Canada’s small town of Hanover, Ontario. The Ontario College of Art is where he discovered illustration and, upon graduating with honors in 1981, eagerly pursued a freelance illustration career based in Toronto. His traditional painterly illustrations have garnered numerous industry awards for publishing and advertising projects. Joe McCormick grew up in rural West Tennessee. He attended art school in California, was art director of an advertising agency in Memphis, worked with Wycliffe Bible Translators in Texas, and with International Gospel Outreach in Semmes, Alabama before settling back in Pinson, Tennessee. Throughout his career as an illustrator, cartoonist and painter, Joe has always loved to write, and to help other writers with their book illustrations.
